Hi my name is Laura, I am a young 45 and I love working with children and family’s. I have many yrs of experience as a nanny for a wide variety of children and people . I am a natural when it comes to caring for and loving kids. I love watching the wonder in a Child’s eyes as they are learning and experiencing new things. I believe children learn through play and positive reinforcement . I have cared for children ages 3 months to 19 . I have a plethora of infant care and experience. I have cared for many children all wonderful and unique . I have experience with the following…..feeding tubes , breathing treatments , Down’s syndrome , bipolar disorder , ADHD and sensory integration disorder. Most of all I value and hold a lot of love and respect for all , young and old . I Read more have worked as a caregiver and had my CNA . When working with family’s I see each as unique. I am intuitive and try to be proactive. My motto is see a need , fill a need . I have a very open communication style and I want 100% transparency right away if there is something that needs to be addressed positive or negative. If I am doing something big or small that bothers a parent, I would much rather be told right away, than a parent “trying to think of a good way to bring it up “ . Your the parent and I care for your child how you see fit. I may have suggestions or ideas that I am happy to share . I am very diligent and respectful to follow all the wishes , ideals and beliefs that you value for your child . I care for and love each child as if they were my own , while respecting the parents style and wishes for their child. My hobbies and interests are my family and friends. I have 3 kids ages 22, 20 and 11.I love all things that are them . I enjoy training my dogs ,I am currently learning how to be a plant mom ,I like doing 1/2 marathons…. well more like the fun runs , biking and hiking , horse back riding and interior decorating and cooking . My favorite places I have have been so far have been Hawaii and Mexico . When I was 19 , l stayed in Honolulu Hawaii for 3 months as a live in nanny. I jut loved the spirit of the island . I have been back to visit several times . In closing I would just say I’m pretty laid back and a open person. I would say others say , my biggest strength is being a loving , caring and excepting person.
