We engaged Franciele to take care of our little one and another neighborhood boy. Everything started off great, she interviewed very well, and got along with both children. We were very excited to start this relationship. Over the course of the next two months, however, Franciele was consistently late due to traffic. We continued to ask her if the commute was too much to handle or if she would prefer to start care earlier. She never complained. As we became more stressed out on our end with our own work schedules being affected, we made the start time earlier to accommodate her commute and ensure she was here when we needed her. We moved forward with no major issues (a few latenesses due to traffic which she made up the time) and even had her come baby sit during off-hours which was a big help. Then, on a Sunday evening (12hrs before she was coming over on Monday), she emailed us saying she would no longer be working for us. She cited that because she did not sign a contract, which she agreed to verbally and to via email, she did not have to ever come back to work for us. I would love to give her more than 1 star but I can't see how this is possible. A major trust was violated and this directly relates to the care of my six month old daughter and another child under one. She stressed during the interview past relationships did not work out due to communication issues and we felt that we probably over-communicated our concerns and needs. We even gave her a pretty sizable Xmas bonus even though she had only worked with us for a month.
