Hello! My name’s Ben. I’m a recent college graduate who worked primarily with 3-5 year olds at Western’s on-campus daycare for a little over the year, but am great with all ages. I am shifting back to babysitting/nannying now that my work-study is no longer applicable. During my employment I received all the certifications required for a professional childcare worker, including the 30 minimum training hours, first aid, CPR, and a food-handling permit. I was able to attend to multiple children at once, including those with special needs, as well as helping keep our classroom a clean and safe environment. One area I believe I excel in is engaging passionately with children about their interests as well as in play; playing is a huge part of the way in which children learn, and I value the difference between stimulating and simply entertaining play. I try to encourage the children I Read more work with to appreciate their passions from new, imaginative standpoints. I’m a walking encyclopedia for all matters Pokémon and LEGO, as well as a skilled homework tutor. If employed I will take it upon myself to fill whatever needs your kid will have, as well as helping keep your living space tidy and well-managed. I consider myself to be a polite, responsible, patient, and above all loving caretaker. I’d be honored to be considered when it comes to taking care of your children!
