Hi, my name is Sasha. I've been working as a childcare professional for about ten years, working in various capacities. I've been working as a babysitter off-and-on for multiple families and have maintained my CPR certification through the Red Cross and St. Johns (Commonwealth). I have completed courses in Early Childhood Education while at University and have taken 30+ hours of STARS training for previous childcare jobs. I have about four years of experience nannying both domestically and abroad. As a nanny, I've worked with children from infants to pre-teens and have gained experience working with kids with learning and cognitive disabilities. I am used to providing help maintaining routines and engaging in enriching and developmentally appropriate activities. I love to incorporate fun and educational activities into my care and have cherished being able to adapt and grow myself to fit the comfort and needs of the children in my Read more care. Through my experience babysitting, nannying, and childcare facilities, I have experience in both full and part-time work and have worked with groups as large as 15 children. I have 5+ years of experience driving children and am used to taking children to school/appointments/practices/etc. I recently worked in a daycare specializing in RIE/Gerber infant care and Montessori pre-school education methods. Both childcare methods focus on encouraging and respecting children as they explore the world around them and gain confidence and autonomy through self-directed play and discovery. I enjoy allowing kids to follow their interests and use those interests to expand their curiosity and thirst for knowledge. I have also had brief experience in classrooms that use the Reggio Emilia method and a Forest Pre-School.
