In my home, I grew up being the second oldest of six children. I was often left in charge to babysit my four younger siblings starting when I was 12 years old and now, I frequently watch my youngest brother, who is four years old. Over the years, I have also babysat for many other families. I absolutely love children! In high school, I had the opportunity to take a child development class where we worked with the kindergarteners on campus three days a week, and the other two days, studied child development. In this class, I learned a lot, and it influenced me to study Early Childhood in college. I attended a semester at BYU-Idaho majoring in Early Childhood Education, which included taking classes about early childhood and childhood development.
