I'm a second year Psychology major at Champlain College and although I am a Psychology major, my work study position is currently an After School Core staff member at the Sustainability Academy. I primarily work with grades K-2 but I also work with grades 3-5. Last summer I worked in a daycare with children ages 2 months-3 years old. My babysitting experience has mostly included caring for children within the family and I would take care of my two cousins until they no longer required a babysitter. In addition to watching my two older cousins, I used to babysit three other cousins (age 3, 5, and 8) until they were older as well. After I no longer watched my cousins, I would occasionally babysit my neighbors' 5 children (ranging from age 1-11) when they went out. Additionally, I am a Co-Chair for the DREAM Program here at Champlain College. This Read more program works with youth in low income housing (ages 7-17) and provides them with a support system as well as teaches them that hard work can be fun and rewarding. I am also CPR-First Aid certified.
