My childcare experience started in London where I was a live in nanny for two different families over 2 years. My first family the children were two boys aged 5 & 6 and the second family I cared for a boy and a girl ages 5 & 7. For both roles I was expected to entertain children, get them to after school activities, prepare food and complete housework. I absolutely loved my time with both families and built amazing connections with the children- all of whom I am still in contact with today and when the time comes for me to visit London again, I will be catching up with the families once more. I also worked 3 seasons at an all girls American summer camp as a water sports Counsellor. The ages of the girls ranged between 5-16 years old and I built so many beautiful friendships in my Read more time at Raquette Lake. My duties also included living in a bunk with the children so this experience has given me a great eye for detail in understanding and being patient with different characters and their needs. This summer I have spent two months working at a family resort as boat dock staff, however the families staying at the resort are able to hire staff to babysit nights where the parents would like to go out. This has given me experience with babysitting for younger children from the ages of 12 months old to 5 years old. I am first aid and CPR qualified through my previous summer camp. I thrive in environments that allow me to keep active and express myself, this is why I love working with children, they’re active and love to have fun!
