My name is Laila (she/her), and I'm a 24 year old grad student at UChicago- I'm pursuing my Masters of Social Work. I have worked in care services for years as a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, preschool teacher's aid, and tutor. Most recently I nannied for a newborn and his older sister, a toddler. I volunteered as a Camp Kesem counselor, a sleepaway camp for children dealing with a parent's cancer, for three years working with 6-18 year olds of all gender identities. I have a wide range of tutoring experience, from helping young kids learn about letters to assisting with college applications. I have worked with children from a wide variety of backgrounds, including work at domestic violence shelters, mental healthcare institutions, and a preschool for children with behavioral challenges.
