Hey! My name is Kassie Emery, and I was born and raised in VB. I am 24 years old and pursuing a children's counseling degree. I have 9 years of experience in childcare from infant- school age. My education and experiences range from nannying to management in daycare settings to Virginia Beach city public schools. I have my CPR and first aid certifications and special training in medication usage and infancy. The passion I have for working with children started in elementary school, growing up having ADHD and anxiety I felt left out when teachers were unable to help me achieve my goals in school. I felt as if I saw and felt the world in a way they didn't understand which made it hard for me to be excited about learning. This set a little spark in me to help any other children not feel those feelings. When I Read more started college I pursued a degree in special needs education and elementary education, but as the years went on I found that psychology and helping a child one on one through behavioral and cognitive therapy would be more suitable for me and my passion!
