My name is Madison Starner, I am 24 years old and live in Virginia Beach. I recently moved to Virginia Beach a year and a half ago from Indianapolis, Indiana. I absolutely love it! I have been employed at Leaf Spring School (formally known as Rainbow Station) for three years as well. I currently work a recreational counselor in the afterschool program. I have an extensive background working with children in various settings. My first job was actually an afterschool program in my hometown. I worked there for two years, and eventually ended up at Brownsburg Academy as an assistant teacher. I eventually moved up to having my own classroom for almost two years. I was able to work directly with parents and children to promote success in the early childhood setting. I have also provided babysitting to over 15-20 families in the course of the last 9 years. I Read more am currently CPR and First Aid certified and can provide transportation. I am a recent graduate of Tidewater Community College with my Associate of Science, and plan to eventually move on to ODU to complete my Bachelor’s of Elementary Education. It is easy to say that teaching and caregiving has been my life for the past 9 years of my life.
