Hello! I'm Zelalem, a passionate and experienced childcare provider with a deep love for nurturing young minds. My journey in education and child development has been diverse and rewarding, spanning from preschool to high school settings. I adore working with children because of their boundless curiosity and the joy they bring to every interaction. As a Substitute Teacher, I have had the privilege of engaging with students across all grade levels, adapting to their unique needs and fostering a positive learning environment. My experience as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club has further honed my skills in creating engaging activities that promote both social and academic development. I have also gained valuable experience as a 3rd Grade Summer Academy Instructor, where I successfully improved reading comprehension and math proficiency for my students. Additionally, my roles as an America Reads Tutor, Ignite Tutor, and ESOL Instructor have Read more sharpened my ability to work with diverse learners and help them overcome academic challenges. What sets me apart is my international perspective and commitment to inclusive education. I have developed and implemented an Intensive English and Math Bootcamp in Ethiopia, which significantly improved literacy and numeracy skills for young learners. This experience, combined with my role as an ESOL Instructor, has made me particularly adept at working with children from diverse backgrounds and supporting their language development. My academic background in Global Development Studies and Business, along with my various roles in tutoring and early childhood education, has equipped me with a unique skill set. I'm not just a caregiver – I'm an educator, mentor, and advocate for children's holistic development.
