Hi there! 🦋 I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for your interest in getting to know me. My name is Clara, and I have 10 years of professional experience in childcare and education. I accepted my first paid position as a preschool teacher when I was still in college, and it was there that I first discovered my love for nurturing and empowering youth in my community. I was soon hired as a personal nanny for a young girl with Autism. For 3 years, I provided her with enriching companionship, academic support, and creative outlets for self-expression. Although we now live far away from each other, we keep in touch and will always be like family! Since graduating with my degree in English Literature, I have had the pleasure of facilitating a variety of classes for children and adults. I’ve taught English as a second language, served as a Read more tutor for college students, led elementary gardening/earth science classes as well as secondary (middle-high school) English classes. I’m passionate about helping discover their own curiosity, creativity and emotional intelligence. Should you choose to hire me for your childcare needs, you can trust that I will take the time to thoroughly understand your child’s interests and support needs. I will be there to support them academically and emotionally, sharing life skills that will help them to both individuate and thrive in community. I will also be the first to suggest fun activities such as silly dance parties for younger kids, outdoor adventures, age-appropriate craft projects, simple recipes, game nights, songwriting, playwriting or even poetry slams. At the heart of all of these activities, my objective is to empower children to use their voices and help them find their unique paths in life. I am currently available for part time or full time employment.
