I have always had a passion for children and animals since I was young. My preferences are 1-3 children ages 3-11. I am also willing to help with homework, light cleaning/organization, errands, and meal preps. I started babysitting at the age of 7 and at the age of 14 I started volunteering my summers to Fluvanna/Greene 4-H summer camp (this included yearly 24 hours of training and the supervision ratio of approximately 8:1, I also received my CPR certification). I did this for four years until I then was hired by City of Charlottesville for their 6-week summer camp (this included 40 hours of training and CPR and First Aid certification) for the next two years (15:1 ratio). This experiences have given me a background working with varying of ages from 4-14, many diverse backgrounds, home situations, and mental/learning abilities. I am no longer current with my certifications however am Read more willing to re-certify upon request if needed and just ask a portion of the fee be covered upon request and I will cover the rest. I can provide professional references information from both 4-H and City of Charlottesville upon request as well. as a side personal note: I personally do smoke (currently in the process of quitting since it is quite a nasty habit and planning to be 'clean' in the next month), however I will NEVER do so near the presence of you, your children, or home in addition to making sure I do not smell of smoke either. (I want to STRESS how much this is a personal issue for me as much as it’s a about respect to the potential families; for me this is a personal issue of mine due to when I was a child I had relatives smelling of cigarettes and thus began my cravings for smoking at a very young age and I personally would be ashamed to trigger the same thing in another child) I also understand that if you ever find I have broken this promise, I may be imminently fired (I also will not ask for that days pay as assurance that this will never happen). Any and all questions you may have are welcome, I also recommend a face-to-face meeting with me prior to hiring so you can rest assured I will be what is best for your children and to answer any specifics. I am also understanding of any financial difficulties anyone may face and offer flexible payments, flexible payment plan, and discount rates for multiple children.
