I’m a 23 year old who’s currently taking some time off from her theatre studies at William and Mary, and looking for a way to navigate through this global pandemic.If you are looking for a creative and caring nanny, I may be the right choice for your family. My senior year of high school, I was hired as the church babysitter for the South Coast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Coos Bay, Oregon where I cared for 2-6 children between the ages of 1 and 8 during the church’s weekly services. The summer of my sophomore year of college, I volunteered at Bilingual Montessori school in White Rock, New Mexico where I primarily assisted teachers with lunchtime, recess and naptime for the 5-6 year old group. During the last year, up until the pandemic, I was a lead children’s group tutor with Hampton Roads Refugee Relief, where I created and facilitated Read more holistic lessons to help refugee children integrate to the local school system. I worked with children who were 2-16 years old, but my primary position was with the 4-5 year old kids. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English. I love to craft; sewing, scrapbooking, knitting and miniature painting are among my favorite activities. I have my own car, and I love pets. I will renew my first aid and child CPR certification upon request. I still have valid certification for the American Red Cross Babysitter’s training. I know that learning from home is hard. My younger cousins are in 3rd and 4th grade, and supporting them through this transition remotely has been difficult, but I was homeschooled for first and second grade by my mother, so I know that learning from home can be both fun and effective, and I am ready to help your children thrive in this environment.
