New to this program. Active, physically fit, recently retired Family Nurse Practitioner and Army Nurse Corp soldier now seeking part time or on call nanny/babysitter positions to fill my time. I raised four children of my own and was a nanny during my initial nurses training. I am an educator by experience and nature lover who enjoys the outdoors, gardening, hiking and cooking nutritious meals. I believe children learn by experience and include them in all aspects of participatory care (play, cooking, organization, cleaning, self-care mastery etc). The ideal situation includes parental date nights, back up care for usual sitter, temporary fill in while searching for full timer and/or vacations for mom and dad with or without the kids. I can care for children with special needs, those with acute illnesses or who require medications, however, I am not actively seeking a licensed nurse position and no longer hold a Read more nursing license . My style of parenting/caregiving includes loving consistency and limit setting. I believe in cultivating desired behaviors through practice, praise and cognitive processing as age appropriate. I believe in the magic of reading, music and earth/nature in the building of personal character. I am a loving, nurturing and compassionate caregiver able to care for infants/children in my very clean home or yours as long as there are “NO” cats in or around the home as pets. I can assist with some pet care for dogs and farm animals under certain situations living on a small family farm of my own. Able and willing to assist with infant/child centered organization, errands, appointments and housekeeping as well as special diet meal preparation during shifts. I am willing to travel and have an active passport. Limitations: no cats, not seeking a long term full time position, but willing to provide temporary full time care. Would be willing to job share with another to fulfill full time needs. $25/hr your home or traveling. $23/hr if care provided in my home w/$3/hr more for each additional child. Able to live-in for periods of time if needed for new parents and under defined periods of time. References: available upon request.

What else can I say, other than, Bridget is simply amazing! We were preparing for a wedding ceremony, gloomy, rainy, but Bridget provided the sunshine for our 10 month old! She also helped with decorations and the other 10 kids present. In all honesty she helped pull the day together. Now, although our situation was hectic and chaotic, Bridget was calm, cool, composed, and jumped in to help us! She is absolutly qualified and rest assured, you won't regret giving her a call!!! I know, it makes us all nervous calling a stranger to help but don't view Bridget as a stranger, she'll become a welcomed member of the family at, "hello!"
