Hello there! My name is Kristen Nerantzis: I am 29 years old, new to North Idaho (I'm from Northern VA/Washington, D.C., in fact!), and most importantly: I love, love, love children! A bit about me: A bit of a 'nerd', my formal schooling (and degree) is in Theoretical Mathematics, as obtained from James Madison University. I've done more than my fair share of tutoring in most subjects, and love the process of teaching and re-learning, so if that is something you're interested in as well...I'd be thrilled. During my post-college years working in DC, I served as a government consultant/contractor for the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and many other such agencies--usually playing the part of software developer and/or data scientist. One huge career shift later, I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to work in the Behavioral Health field, serving as the Operations/Marketing Lead, as well as "House Mom", for a Read more small company in the business of providing recovery housing to individuals in need of a supportive, structured, and supervised living environment. This position entailed everything from meal preparation to resident transportation to late-night (unofficial) therapy sessions! Coddling and caretaking have always fulfilled me, and I absolutely loved the work. Fast forward, and I've recently moved to Sandpoint, Idaho (and cannot get over how beautiful North Idaho is!). Regardless of what I'm doing career-wise, at any given moment, I almost always make sure to incorporate babysitting, nannying, or tutoring into my schedule, as I love children, and I love learning/teaching just as much.
