Hi, I am Taryn! I have been babysitting since 2015, making a living solely from childcare for 5 years. In 2020, I nannied for a 9yo and 5yo for a few months. After that, I nannied for 3 children for 2 years. Following that experience, I took a job as a behavioral technician,. I then worked with a family of 8, primarily focusing on the youngest 2 for 8 months. In that role, I was able to travel with the family. I have cared for up to 4 children, ranging from 4 months to 14 years old. I like to engage the children in whatever interests them, but I also try to incorporate new activities and get outside. I am physically active and able to keep up with high energy children, but I also enjoy reading, painting, and crafting. As a behavioral technician, I have learned how to teach new Read more skills and appropriately respond to tantrums and aggression. I try to encourage children to understand their emotions and learn independence skills in a way that’s fun for them! I am looking for a part time or babysitting work, while I’m in school for biology. I have a degree in psychology and will be looking into neuroscience for my masters degree. I can work with all ages. I have a car. I’m comfortable with doing housework, meal prepping, running errands, toilet training, facilitating nap or bed time, overseeing playdates, and any other reasonable requests relating to childcare. Safety is very important to me. I no longer hold my CPR certification, but I would be willing to get the certification upon request. I value clear communication with parents to ensure everyone’s expectations are being met. I always give a quick debrief of the day, as it’s been ingrained in me through my work as a behavioral technician. So looking forward to getting to know your little tikes!
