Hello! My name is Kaia Collins, and I’m currently a sophomore at George Mason University. Here’s a little bit of a background of my experience: I’m the oldest of six kids and lots of younger cousins, so I’ve grown up learning to care for kids. I have years of experience when it comes to caring for babies and toddlers (changing diapers, feeding and burping, naps) from babysitting and from being a big sister. I’ve been babysitting since I was 12, and have done so in a variety of settings. Two summers ago, I nannied for a family in Arlington with three kids, who were ages 3, 8, and 11. I nannied for two families the summer before that, and the kids ranged in age from 5-11. This past summer, I nannied for a military family with three kids, ages 5, 10, and 12. I have my own car, I’m comfortable preparing meals and snacks for kids, and I understand that dealing with messes is a part of the job. :) I have siblings and have nannied kids with severe allergies or who take medication daily, so I also have experience with handling that. I love arts and crafts, being outside, making up games for and with kids, and snacks, and I’m good at sticking to schedules, but I’m also flexible! I also love to crochet, and I make little stuffed animals for the kids I nanny and babysit. :))
