Hello! My name is Mercedes and I’m so happy to join SitterCity! My ideal job at the moment is a night time sitter and or a helper around the house/with chores! I’d love to go grocery shopping for you, help tidy up the house, run other errands, etc. I am experienced with infants as well as up to high schoolers. As an Art Educator, I value spending time working with art supplies, hands on toys, and minimize screen time as much as possible. I love doing arts and crafts with kids and letting them explore with new materials. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: I started my babysitting experience back in high school when I would babysit for neighbors and family friends. From there, I worked at a daycare and was an assistant teacher for primarily three year olds. From there, I became a full time Sumer nanny to two wonderful girls, 18 months Read more and 3yrs old. I’ve also worked in a professional school setting and taught Kindergarten, 7th grade, and Art 1 in High School. I’ve also run several art camps where I taught elementary students art for a week at a time. With all this in mind, I also have taken several early childhood development courses that make me extremely knowledgeable in handling children. I’ve taken three different child certifications, worked with kids with special needs, and have been able to take what I’ve learned in the classroom and apply it.
