For the past 4 years, I have been working with a lovely family of 4 wonderful children but the youngest will be in school full time beginning September 2 and they no longer need my services. I would Although I am sad to say goodbye to that family, I look forward to meeting a new family to work with. I have recently quit my teaching job to complete grad school at ODU. I do not smoke, nor do I own any pets. I live 5 minutes from the Town Center area of Virginia Beach & have been in the city for almost 11 years. I do have my own transportation & I am willing to commute to your home if you are located within Hampton Roads. I do not have any children of my own so your child(ren) would receive my undivided attention. Also, I do not mind cats or Read more dogs. In fact, I love pets! A routine babysitting job begins with an age-appropriate icebreaker so that the child(ren) I am caring for will feel comfortable & open up around me. This makes for a more enjoyable experience for both me & your child(ren). If you have been looking for a reliable sitter, tutor for your child(ren), or perhaps a helping hand around the house with laundry or food preparation, please consider me. I will not just sit your child(ren) in front of a television. Being that I was a teacher, I have endless ideas to help your child(ren) with his or her homework through the use of flashcards, games, arts & crafts, & several other techniques.
