Hello! My name is Mia and I am a nursing student at the University of Virginia. I am currently pursuing my Master’s of Science in Nursing after graduating from University of Virginia with my Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. My past working experience includes working at the University of Virginia Hospital for two years as a Certified Nurse Assistant on a Medical Surgical unit and serving as the Vice President of Activity Planning for the College Mentors for Kids program at UVA. I have received BLS Provider CPR Certification through the American Heart Association and have been taught First Aid techniques and procedures both through my time as a Certified Nurse Assistant and as a nursing student. Additionally, by serving as the Vice President of Activity Planning for College Mentors for Kids, I had the opportunity to create weekly activity plans and activities for around 100 local Charlottesville elementary school Read more students centered around different areas of higher education. Additionally during my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to conduct and participate in research regarding children with severe disabilities and how to enact better procedures and protocols in the public school system to help achieve equality and compassion for all students. After graduation I plan to pursue my passion for helping others by pursing a nursing career in Pediatrics. I am more than happy to help both you and your family with your childcare needs - please feel free to reach out with any questions!
