My name is Yara, and I have had the joy of working with children for 25 years because I believe the first years of our children's lives are the most important in their development, and they have the right to good and loving care. I absolutely love children and their capacity to instantly bring joy wherever they are. I had established a wonderful relationship with the families in which I work as a nanny as well as a babysitter. Over time, I’ve realized I also have a passion for helping parents navigate their parenting journey. That’s why I’d received training in early childhood education, pediatric sleep training, positive parenting, and newborn care. I am very curious and always eager to learn new things, which helps me provide the best care possible.

Yara has worked for us for 10+ years and the only reason she is looking for a job is because we are moving out of state. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Yara has brilliantly cared for our two children (now 10 and 6) since infancy and has been like a member of the family. Yara is incredibly loving, nurturing, and knowledgable about kids, but especially babies. She has an intuitive ability to understand and meet their needs so that they (and you!!) can thrive. Yara is a certified newborn care specialist and has also completed full training as a certified sleep consultant. She was a tremendous help with getting my kids on a good sleep schedule when they were little, while also being supportive of breastfeeding and my children’s broader development. She has continued to provide enriching, excellent care for them as they have grown and developed— taking them to activities and appointments, supervising homework and playdates, teaching them to play sports, and exposing them to arts and culture. She helps around the house as well doing all kinds of tasks. Yara is reliable, punctual, trustworthy, thoughtful, caring, creative, and hardworking. Yara is also a U.S. citizen, totally bilingual in English and Spanish, and a very safety-conscious driver with her own car. Whoever gets her is very lucky!
