Hi! I'm Jessica! I'm 23, I grew up in California and live in Orem now. I'm currently taking an online real estate course. I love kids!! I started babysitting at 12, and I haven't really stopped since. I had my first consistent babysitting job at 14, and by 16 I was a weekend Nanny. I have nannied for six different families, spending time with newborns all the way to late teenagers. I've worked with kids with Autism, ADHD, anger management behaviors, and cancer. My first job was with 2 little foster kids who struggled with separation anxiety. I also have been a volleyball coach, a tutor, a substitute teacher, and an English as a second language teacher. I don't mind helping around the house, most of the time I enjoy it and help the kids involved too! In high school I cleaned a family's house and I did custodial work Read more at a print shop. I love to cook! I love to include the kids in this too! My grandma started teaching me to cook when I was 4 :) I have had quite a few different kitchen jobs; Panda Express, Landmark Catering, Brick Oven, and Utah Valley Convention Center Culinary Staff. I want kids to be able to be kids, I love taking the kids outside and playing in the dirt. I grew up on my grandparents apple orchard and we practically lived outside :) I believe kids need plenty of love and respect. When they feel respected and heard, often they will treat you the same way. I definitely know that expectations and boundaries should be set with kids. When they know what to expect from you and you preform that, it builds their trust and respect for you. I love to teach kids how to be independent, of course while making it clear that they always have someone they can turn to who has got their back! I love it when parents are involved. I honor and respect the individual requests of parents and I am happy to talk often if things need to change. I look forward to meeting you and your family!!
