I love being a sitter because I feel like it prepares me for the future when I get the chance to be a mom. Growing up I would sit for my aunts and uncles. My little cousins now ask their parents to leave so I can babysit for them. I can help with homework as well as play dress up, have nerf wars, etc. I can cook and clean and get kids down for naps. I absolutely love dance breaks and drawing or creating with my hands. I do my best to help kids be more kind, to friends, siblings, parents. I prefer to not think of myself as even sitting, most kids end up thinking of me as an older sister or cousin. They can confide in me (if it is something important to the kids health I ALWAYS tell the parents) and feel safe.
