I'm a student at Utah Tech University, looking to work in childcare! I really love working with kids, and have a lot of experience in childcare. I'd like to continue to work with kids when I can, to keep improving & doing what I love, so I can hopefully turn it into my career some day. I have experience working with kids in many different settings, most notably as a swim coach/teacher & camp counselor. I spent about 3 years teaching swim lessons to kids aged 5-12, and coaching a youth swim team. I'm extremely comfortable in the water, & can also provide swim lessons to kids if needed. For the past 2 summers, I've been a camp counselor up in the Uinta mountains, working with kids aged 5-16 at an overnight camp called "Camp Roger". I love Camp Roger, and the way we prioritize teaching kids how to grow Read more as people & be kind to others, while in an environment away from the outside world (and screens!). When I'm not in class or studying, I love to swim, paint, or do anything outdoors! (If you know any good local hikes, I'd love to hear about them!) FAQ/Random information I don't know where else to put- I have a small car & can drive kids around town! I am comfortable with pets, but do need to know ASAP if there are any in the home, due to some allergies. My availability varies, but I'm open to working out any times! I have worked with kids with special needs in the past, & feel comfortable doing so in the future. I can provide references if needed, but would like to avoid putting out their contact information publicly!
