I have always been the “designated babysitter” for my younger brother and younger cousins. I enjoy providing educational and entertaining activities for children of all ages and have been told I have a gift with children. I started babysitting my neighbors after school to 6:00 every weekday for about a year when I was 14. The children were 3 and 6; a typical day for the kids would consist of a snack, homework, and then crafts/activities with little to no screen time. After my time helping this family, I nannied for a young family over the summer. The children were 4 months and 2 years. The most recent nannying job that I had was for my niece and nephew for about a year and a half. They are 6 and 9 and I would watch them after school and on weekends. We would do arts and crafts, homework, education games, Read more trips to the aquatic center and park, and I even dog sat and performed light housekeeping. I have experience with very high energy children and enjoy active and entertaining activities to meet these needs. I have meal prepped for families and cooked dinner before bed for parents who wanted a date night and am comfortable around all pets. I and CRP and first aid certified throughly the Red Cross, including infant CRP. My younger brother is autistic with ADHD and I have taken classes on special needs care through SUU, so I am capable and comfortable caring for children that have special needs. I was a lifeguard and swimming instructor from 16 to 17 and am able to provide those services to children.
