The first time I really took care of children, other than here and there babysitting as a teenager, was when I nannied two children for a summer. On was a very intelligent young girl named Alexandria (8) and the other was a gorgeous sweet girl named Cailyn (5). We loved to do arts and crafts as well as play outside on the backyard jungle gym, and of course play barbies! I also enjoyed helping around the house by doing some cleaning, as well as teaching the girls to clean up when we were finished, and making healthy lunches. Both girls are now doing incredible in school and Alex even volunteers/interns at NASA in Australia! I also very much enjoyed my past job at BuyBuy Baby where I learned so much about cribs, strollers, and all the baby essentials! I got to meet new bright faces everyday and help moms and Read more kiddos find their new favorite toys and teach them what I learned. When I moved to Smithville, I actually came out here to support my sister who just had baby number two, both under the age of two! And as incredible of a mother my sister is, they did need help since both parents were working full times jobs, sometimes until 7 or 8 in the morning. I loved being able to spend time with my niece and nephew as they grew each day and helping them learn new things as I thought them everything I could! Helping change diapers, make yummy food, putting the kids down for naps, and of course helping them learn how to walk and talk! I have many friends with younger children now although I’m comfortable with helping them at any age, and I offer to help out with anything and as much as I can! (Which of course the new mommies love!) I aspire to become a teacher soon for elementary or middle school aged children as soon as I save up enough money to go back to college, hopefully with no debts! I love being around children and just being a part of their lives as they grow and learn what all they can do. A child’s smile is the most beautiful and amazing thing in the world to me and I’m very excited to be able to get to create another friendship with them and with you, the parents as well. I will always promise to do all I can to help your child grow into the best version of themselves and to help in anyway I can!
