Hello, my name is Maritza. I am 23 years old with a 5 year old that just started Kindergarten this year. I've always had a passion in working with kids. I have 10 years of experience in working with children. I also have background in working with special needs (Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Blind). I am a outgoing ,fun, energetic, organized, loving, hardworking person. I am also CPR/First Aid Certified. For almost 4 years I was a assistant volunteer worker with a special needs child. He had Cerebral Palsy and was Wheelchair bound. We would have to transport him to therapy 2-3 times a week. We would have to feed him through a feeding tube. We also would have to change his diapers. He also suffered from Seizures so we had to give him his medication when needed. I was also a Lead teacher of 1:15 ratio of 3 year olds Read more for 2 1 /2 years at a Texas Rising Star Daycare . I would be in charged of coming up with the classroom schedule as well as organizing the days. I would come up with educational activities for the classroom. I also served breakfast, lunch, and snack. I also was in charge of taking the class outside. I would also have to change pull ups or potty trained the children. I was able to potty train all 15 of the studenta by the following year. Throughout my time working there I would also work in other classrooms from Infants to School Age. I would also go on field trips during the summer when School Age was out of school. I did take sometime off to spend time with my 4 year old. Part time I do work with twin special needs girls. Both are Autistic and one of them is also Blind. While working with them I also have to change pull ups. I also have to bottle feed one of the twins. I breifly work at KidsRKids during COVID , for about a year before my little one started e-learning. While at KidsRKids I was the lead 3.5-4 year old teacher . My duties where to manage the class of 1:15 , teach through play , teach name recognition , letter recognition, work on hand writing skills with the children. I was incharged of coming up the the weekly plans for the children each week. My other duties included cleaning the classroom , wiping tables, serving breakfast, lunch, snack.
