My name is Kristen, and I'm eager to offer my support and care for your children. Babysitting allows me to support families and gain valuable experience with a wide variety of children, which I find incredibly rewarding. My journey began at a nonprofit group home for teenage girls in foster care, where I played a pivotal role in their growth and household management. I further honed my skills by running a household at a nonprofit for adults with special needs, gaining insights into the intersection of mental health and disabilities. Currently, I lead the special needs kids ministry at my church, where we prioritize individualized approaches and foster inclusive environments. My expertise extends to children and adults with special needs, disabilities, and neurodiversities across a wide age range, with a primary focus on ages 2-16. In challenging and high-intensity situations, I maintain composure and ensure the safety and well-being of those under my care. I enjoy assisting with homework, implementing creative lesson plans, engaging in enriching activities and providing light cooking and housekeeping support. Academically, I hold an Associates degree in Psychology and a Bachelors degree in Integrated Studies in Psychology and Theology, reflecting my commitment to understanding and supporting individuals on a holistic level. Outside of caregiving, I live at home with my two beloved cats and enjoy exercising.
