Hi! My name is Cameron! I have worked with children for 12 years in various licensed childcare settings, including holding the position of a preschool director. I taught horseback riding lessons beginning when I was 14, later aiding in equine therapy involving children with special needs and juveniles with struggles. The last 9 years were spent working full-time in close-knit preschools specializing in newborn and infant care, and more recently obtaining certification as a behavioral therapist with the BACB, and spent a year at China Spring ISD elementary working with a behavioral program for struggling 2-4th graders. Children are the most precious things the world is given and my passion is sharing all of the natural nurturing abilities I was given to give every child a fulfilling and enriching environment in which they an learn to trust and develop, beginning with the most crucial year in infancy. I am seeking Read more to provide (very part time) in a family setting as I believe strongly in individual and one-on-one interaction in early years of learning. I emphasize play-based learning at a child’s own pace as well as supporting a family’s routine and structure. Time outdoors is important to me, and I’d like to take advantage of the warm Texas weather in the summer months. I have 4 children of my own and they will all be in school come August! (15th, to be precise). I encourage getting a little dirty! And I always probe cleaning up after myself in order to teach my students to do the same. Minor housework is not a problem! I have reliable transportation but prefer not to transport unless requested by the parent or in the event of an emergency. I am comfortable with pets and multiples, and aim mainly to care for newborns to children 2 years of age. Meals, breast milk/ formula feeding, naps, diapers changes, bathing and potty-training come second nature!
