As a former well loved preschool teacher for over 13 years, I often babysit for the parents of my former students. They love having me as a babysitter as I always bring fun educational activities to complete with the kids. These are usually fun and engaging hands-on science experiments or somewhat messy process art activities. I believe play and learning are essential for all ages, so even the youngest infants are always included. I am an animal and nature lover, so I am comfortable around all types of plants. If babysitting during daylight hours, I would be spending time with your children outside in the backyard or neighborhood parks exploring and learning about nature and our environment. I have plenty of experience with all ages as I raised my one family of six including a single, twins, and triplets. I have experience with special needs children including Autism, ADHD, Bipolar Read more Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, speech delays, and medical conditions such as eating disorders, special feeding needs and Type 2 Diabetes. I hold a Texas Teaching certificate for elementary and middle school. I have a current Pediatric First-Aid and CPR Certificate. I have also been trained in infant care including SIDS and Safe Sleep Training. I am current in all of the state required trainings to work in a preschool.
