Hello families! My name is Grace, I’m a 26 year old First Grade teacher who is passionate about working with children! Before becoming a teacher, I’ve always known I loved working with kids, and since I was 15 and babysitting the neighborhood kids to being 19 and being a full time nanny over the summers, to being 23 and working as a babysitter for date nights as a side job, I’ve always found myself in a care giver role. I love the innocence and curiosity kids posses, and I love fostering a strong sense of confidence, perseverance and empathy within the kids I work with. Outside of the classroom, I love cats, cooking and baking, yoga, reading, podcasts, knitting, swimming and exploring Houston! I’ve been teaching first grade for 4 years and have also developed a love for literacy instruction as well, and would love to help you and your Read more little ones develop into master readers and writers.
