Hi! Thank you for considering me to love and care for your little ones. I am a retired Special Education Teacher with an English as a Second Language certification. I was a Paraprofessional working with special needs children in Life Skills and also with emotionally disturbed children in Adaptive Behavior for 7 years in middle and elementary schools while I was getting my degree. I graduated and began teaching in 2007 and taught Resource, Kindergarten and then special needs children 3-5 years old in PPCD until 2016 when I retired after teaching for 9 years. I have one grown son and was a foster mom to 11 children ages 2-12 years. I have a 9 year old grandson in Dallas. I miss the little ones very much so I feel blessed to help with your children. I am always happy to help your children with their homework and reteaching areas Read more they are experiencing difficulties in. I will work with and stimulate your infants, toddlers and preschoolers by developing motor skills, social skills, investigative and learning skills, and independent self help skills through play, singing and the introduction of new things, experiences, and challenges. I understand the importance to scaffold by presenting challenges slightly above the current levels the children are at to encourage growth. I believe in redirection and positive reinforcement and praise to encourage self confidence and appropriate behavior rather than negatives. But I am consistent in setting up boundaries. My transportation is safe and dependable and I am fully insured to assure the children are safe, in your car seats and buckled in at all times if driving them. I have been fully vetted (background, fingerprinted etc.) prior to being allowed to teach. But most importantly I will love your children, watch over and protect them like my own. And give lots of hugs of course too! I sincerely appreciate the time you’ve taken to learn about me and the opportunity to meet with your family should you feel I could be the right person and you’d like to know more about me. I have references for tutoring. I hope to hear from you very soon and can’t wait for the “adventure” to begin!🤗
