I have always had a passion for taking care of children and helping people. As a teen, I loved spending my summer taking care of my cousins and volunteering in my church nursery. Helping and nurturing children keeps me motivated and excited about doing my best work. I have over 25 years of extensive experience caring for, mentoring, and working with people of all ages from infants to seniors. Im skilled in creating a positive, trusting, and safe environment with compassion and patience. I am disciplined, detailed oriented, organized, and punctual, with a strong work ethic. During the week Im a nanny for a one year old boy. And my position before that involved working privately with a special needs child and his younger brother for 16 years. I planned and implementing age-appropriate activities and house managment duties. I also cared for them full-timed when the parents traveled. I monitored Read more and evaluated the clients’ progress and communicated these findings and concerns with family members and therapists. I also implemented ABA, speech, social, and play therapies. This taught me patience, adaptability, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving skills, and keeping a level head during difficult and intense situations. I'm a postive person and try to find the good in all things. I love learning and growing. In my free time I love spending time with my family hiking, swimming, spending time outside, and playing games. I enjoy gardening, cooking and eating good food. Im also working on getting certified as a new born and infant care specialist and Im needing more hours with infants up to age of 5 months old, to complete my training. I have lots of experience with infants but those hours don’t count because they were not during my training. If you need a little extra help with your little one while you sleep or get a shower. Or need some help while your run errands or with light house keeping some you can spend some quality time with your baby, I would love to help.
