Hey guys! My name is Shelby and I am hoping to be a full-time nanny for the next few years while I take night classes to become a clinical mental health counselor. I am hoping to specialize in eco-therapy and love everything nature and outdoors! I have been babysitting regularly since I was 12. I adore children of all ages and have extensive experience with various special needs through my time volunteering and working at summer camps. I love watching babies go through the stages of development and did considerable research in developmental biology and psychology. I think it is so beautiful that everything can be a learning experience for a child because they absorb the world around them like a sponge- It would be such an honor to be allowed the opportunity to teach by example qualities like love and gratitude for them to take throughout their lives. I Read more also really admire the Montessori method and have skills with 4 instruments and various other art forms that I would love to share! One of my favorite hobbies is cooking so experimenting with fun well-rounded meals and healthy snacks would be a pleasure. *Willing to be CPR certified within a month of hire*
