I'm an educated professional with a BIG heart. I have my MBA from Baylor University, my CPR/AED/BLS certification from the America Heart Association, and my LVN nursing license–in good standing–with the state of Texas. After 17 years of nursing professionally, I now practice my clinical skills at a voluntary capacity with medical mission teams abroad. I'm also an education volunteer with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, where I provide coaching and financial literacy to K-12 students from low-income districts; I'm also an education volunteer for Junior Achievement USA, where I teach students aged 5-25 to gain essential financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship skills through hands-on educational approach that sparks their innovation and creativity and enables their young minds to thrive in today's fast-paced world. For Sitter Services: My half-day and full-day rates are per child and include transportation fees, field trip admission costs, fun and interactive lesson plans, and Read more covered meals with dietary restrictions considered. Half-day is 4-6 hours, and full-day is 7-10 hours. I am only accepting assignments for children ages 8-17 at this time, as my services are education-based and offer more of an alternative and interactive learning experience. Please note that although I truthfully stated "0" years of "paid" childcare experience, I am experienced at a voluntary capacity with multiple non-profit organizations. I also have experience as a family practice nurse and have personally raised three children of my own (as well as many nieces and nephews).
