Hi! I’ve never been very good at bios, but I’ll just tell a little bit about myself. I’m currently a Pre-K 3 Teacher’s Aid at a private school called Wesleyan Academy. I’ve also worked at a daycare and a foster home in the past for about 3 years. I love children with all my heart and I treat any and every child as if they were my own. I’ve recently took a few courses on conscious discipline, which I think a revolutionary way of taking care of children. Rather than sending children to timeout immediately, I believe that it’s better to help the child understand why what they did was wrong and to help them understand that emotions are okay, and that we just need to learn how to control them the right way. I decided to look into taking on a Nanny/ Babysitting position because I’d rather give focused Read more attention to one child or a small group, rather than multitasking with a group of thirteen. Children need a decent amount of one on one time. I’ve also never met a child I didn’t get along with because I’m a big kid at heart. If I can join playtime, more than likely I will. The only reason I wouldn’t is to of course take care of the child’s needs as far as food, potty time, changing diapers, etc. I also don’t mind doing housework if necessary. Overall, I feel that being a nanny/babysitter would turn out to be a dream job for me.
