April seemed fine on the phone, but she completely ghosted me the first day she was scheduled to come watch my kids. I had to scramble to find backup care.

We did not have a good experience with April. She accepted the job & didn't come either day she was scheduled. The first day she was supposed to come she messaged me the night before saying she forgot she had a Dr's appointment. I wished her well at her appt & told her I hoped everything would be ok. We agreed on a reschedule with 1 long (apprx 6 hrs) and 1 short (2 1/2 hrs) day. My daughter spoke to her on her next scheduled day & things seemed fine, she did ask if perhaps April could come about 15 mins early so she could show her where things are kept, etc. Shortly before time for her to arrive she messaged saying she couldn't come, that she had a fever. I work in medicine & both of those days I had to scramble to rearrange my patients and get back to keep the baby so my daughter could go to work. We had what seemed to be a pleasant video chat initally.I told her if she wanted the job I wouldn't interview anyone else as she seemed sweet and responsible. I kept my word and did not interview any other applicants. I'm unsure why she didn't just tell us if she had changed her mind about the job.

April has been great so far. She has been helping me out for the last 2 weeks. She does great with my son. Excited to continue using her.
