I have years of on-and-off experience babysitting when my schedule has allowed it. Most of the families I've worked for needed temporary help and found me via word-of-mouth. I have worked as a volunteer at Cook Children's Hospital, where I worked directly with patients in every unit, and was trained to handle the complex, highly individual needs of children in a hospital environment. I applied my experience at Cook's volunteering as a summer camp counselor at Camp John Marc, a highly-specialized residential camp for children with severe, chronic physical/medical issues. I genuinely enjoy working as a sitter. While under my care, your children won't be left to occupy themselves while I scroll through my phone. My go-to activities are painting, drawing, baking, and getting outdoors when the weather is nice. However, I'm qualified in everything from princess dress up to water balloon fights. If you are looking for a sitter on a recurring basis, you can trust me to make sure your child sticks to their routine. You have a busy schedule--I'm happy to clean, do laundry, etc after bedtime. I am a bartender and I recently cut down to part-time--just a few shifts a week, so depending on your needs, I may be able to sit for you on a set regular schedule. I'm a great fit for someone looking for a sitter as-needed and I will always do my best to accommodate last minute requests.
