My name is Kendra and I am 25 years old. I grew up in a large family with two older sisters, two younger sisters, and a younger brother. My parents raised my siblings and I to have big hearts and love others. With that being said, I love children with every ounce of my heart. I have a bachelor's degree in fourth through eighth grade education and a master's degree in educational administration. I am currently working on my doctorate in child psychology. While I was in college working on my bachelor's degree, I was a nanny to four kids. Two of the kids only lived part time with the family I nannied, so I took care of two kids most of the time. During my time as a nanny, I transported the children to and from school, extra-curricular activities, sporting events, and appointments. With a background in education, I Read more helped the children with their homework, projects, and reading. I woke up the children and helped them get ready for school, as well as made breakfast and prepared their lunches. As needed, I provided overnight care at their home and mine. I implemented a weekly summer schedule, which included: movie days, park days, library days, pool days, and much more. I discretely handled court supervised visits with the two of the children’s’ biological parent and comforted the children following the court supervised visit. Due to the situation with the children’s biological parent, I carried legal documents in regard to parental rights and violations to make any needed contact with law enforcement. As always, I ensured consistent safety of children. I traveled with the family out of town and out of state, as needed. For the most part, the parents and I worked out a consistent weekly schedule. However, there were several times I was needed on short notice and on holidays. In regard to those situations, I was able to be at their house within the hour to take care of the children.
