The children I care for are the little lights of my life, and I value being a warm, loving, positive guiding figure in their lives! I have experience as a full-time nanny, part-time nanny, preschool classroom aide, and of course occasional babysitter. I have an undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College in Liberal Arts. I regularly read books about, and take professional development courses in, early childhood development. It's a passion of mine, but it's also indispensable to my work as a childcare professional. I have studied and regularly implement elements of Montessori and Reggio Emilia educational approaches, as well as mindful/gentle parenting. I respect every child as a whole, unique person, but I do believe in setting boundaries with safety and healthy long-term development in mind. A priority of mine as a caregiver is to remain calm and patient, which both serves as a positive model and contributes to a positive long-term relationship between me and the children. My approach is very literary and artistic. I am also an artist and an activist thus why I choose to only work part-time as a nanny/baby-sitter.
