Growing up, my mother worked extremely hard to make ends meet. She'd clean clinics late into the night and would bring me and my brothers along since she couldn't afford a sitter. We'd fall asleep on worn out waiting room chairs while she scrubbed away for hours. I empathize with the hardships she faced. I love babysitting because it gives parents a much-needed break, even if just for a couple hours. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be and want to help families gain some stability, like what mine didn't have back in the day.
