Hello, I'm Anjelica, and it's a pleasure to meet you! I graduated in 2020 with a degree in special education and have been working with people who have special needs since I was 13 years old. Growing up with a deaf brother gave me the opportunity to learn American Sign Language, which has been an invaluable skill in my work. During middle school, I volunteered with an organization called "Me in the Middle," where I participated in various events, such as the Special Needs Olympics, and realized that working with people who have special needs was my calling. I even served as the president of the club in high school for two years! Throughout my college career, I worked as a behavioral technician and helped children with autism and related disorders improve their behaviors and social skills while collecting data. Seeing them achieve milestones and grow in their abilities was Read more the most rewarding experience. After graduating, I spent a year working as a special education teacher, focusing on children with behavioral issues. In this role, I provided one-on-one lessons and worked on social skills with them. I've also worked with adults in a facility for people with special needs, teaching them skills like how to shop and use transportation. Now, with summer approaching, I'm excited to find a part-time job and build new relationships. I promise we'll have a lot of fun together! Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing back from you.
