Hi there! My name is Maddie and I have been babysitting and nannying since I was 15 years old. I am currently in my 4th year at Texas State University as a senior Political Science major with a minor in International Studies. I have made Dean's list for 3 consecutive years. I am working on learning to speak Spanish and love to sing in my free time. I am almost always fostering cats and kittens, and help find adopters so they can go to forever homes. I am planning on moving to Europe or Australia after I graduate, leaning more towards Australia at the moment. I have a drivers license and have never been in a wreck. I am the eldest of 3, with a younger brother and a younger sister, so I am well-versed in the language of sibling relationships and healthy ways of handling conflict and strife amongst Read more others. As an empath but also a realist, I am very good at listening and understanding where people are coming from, especially in aggravated situations, and calming situations down and helping others see the bigger picture. I am a huge advocate of mental health and encourage healthy habits that benefit the mental health of myself and others. I participated in neighborhood and club swimming at Texas Longhorn Aquatics from the age of around 8 until I was 16. I have a lot of experience with swimming and water safety. I love working with kids because while I hope to teach and make positive impressions on them, they often teach me more than I thought they ever could.
