Meet Gabrielle

Hello! My name is Gabrielle Porras! I've recently just moved to the Chicago area in hopes of pursuing a career with children! I may be young, but at the age of twenty-two, I already have experience with children! To start off, at a young age of twelve, I began watching my younger brother, whom is ten years younger than me. Up until I was eighteen, I'd watch him and take care of him while my parents worked. Secondly, while I lived in my hometown of Houston, Texas, I led a children's ministry at my church for about three years. All together I volunteered for six years, teaching and leading children. I'd also prepare curriculum for the incoming children and regulations for the other volunteers. Lastly, and most recently, I worked at a Montessori school in a room full of wonderful infants. For two years, I'd change diapers, learn sleep routines, Read more feed them formula/breastmilk, introduce solids, and expose them to a Montessori environment. It was an amazing and eye opening two years working in a classroom full of eight plus infants. I also have a recent two year Red Cross certification in Adult/Pediatric AED and CPR training. I hope this clearly informs anyone whom might be interested in my services. I find that children bring out another positive side in me and I hope that I could bring out the full potential in them!
