Former First Responder with experience and dedication to children! My 7 years as a first responder enriched my love for helping others and one of my favorite parts was engaging with kids. After I left being a first responder, I loved being an integral part of a family as their live-in nanny. I was a round-the-clock caregiver to a toddler and a newborn/infant where I provided care, hygiene, transportation, recreational activities, guided development, and even potty training. Further, I executed meal prep, housekeeping, and errands. I have been a child care taker and full-time nanny for families with multiple child ages. I currently am a full-time nanny for a family with a 2 1/2-year-old and a 4-year-old where I have taken it upon myself to also teach them curriculum. I babysit for multiple ages and have two nephews, ages 5 and 8 years old that I am "second mama" to, Read more so I can relate to older children as well. I love guiding, teaching, and helping kids explore their world and develop with styles that best suits their personality! I like to use positive reinforcement. Forts, making play characters come to life, creating smiles, and enacting creativeness are my specialties! I've also volunteered as Elsa at a Children's hospital and kid's birthday parties and have been hired as a wedding babysitter. Like a female MacGyver, I bring with me a diverse background of experiences, conflict-resolution skills, and multi-tasking that have allowed me to be adaptable in a variety of situations. Besides experience with first aid and CPR (including children and infant CPR), my first responder background also brings experience in security, defense, and keen awareness. I am known to be a self-starter with a positive attitude and patience. I am often told that I have "a servant's heart" in taking care of people (and I enjoy doing so) and that I am "calm under pressure and make good decisions". My current nanny family is getting ready for daycare school and thus I am seeking another amazing family to care for. I am ready to help you with your child care needs and provide the best for your kiddo(s)!
