Hello Nashville area families! I am experienced, educated, safety-conscious, and really enjoy and care about my work as a nanny and sitter. I am new to Nashville and happy to accept temporary, occasional or semi-regular sitting work, but I am a longtime career nanny also seeking my next great regular position. I have extensive experience in childcare spanning many years up to and including full-time nannying for the premature infant through preschool ages, additional sitting and substitute nanny experience with school-aged children, and I have cared for teenagers as a counselor in a residential group home facility, so I can provide excellent care for a wide range of children and can handle the challenges of a fussy baby, a defiant toddler, a boundary-testing preschooler, and a moody adolescent. *Education (and continuing education!) is also very important to me as a caregiver. I have some formal education in child development and Read more related topics, take courses on things like nutrition and teaching-related topics in my free time, and have taken nannying/parenting classes on a variety of topics from sleep training to positive discipline. I am also starting a well-regarded Newborn Care Specialist certification course. *Special needs are something I am open to working with, as a very patient and understanding psych major. *Food allergies are no problem, as I am familiar with many of them. *Baby sign language is great, and I have experience using it I am also very arts-oriented and enjoy being active outside in this city and its many amazing parks! Though I am not yet fluent in any languages aside from English, but I do enjoy languages and am re-learning Spanish, hope to study Mandarin, and have also studied some American Sign Language. *Multiple excellent references are available. *Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified, also McMoyler infant CPR trained *Up-to-date vaccinations including Covid, TDaP, MMR, flu, and negative TB test. *INA Nanny Credential (via proctored exam) *INA Skills Exam completed with a perfect score *Red Cross Certified Babysitter by perfect score *Clear background check *Valid driver license and good record
