Good Morning, My name is Regan and I live here in Nashville. I am originally from Kentucky where I attended University at The University of Kentucky studying music education. I received my undergraduate degree in music education and received my teaching certificate for K-12. During my time in college, I was an instructor at a company called MusikGarten that provides music and movement for ages 0-10. After college, I taught in public schools in Kentucky for 6 years., elementary and middle school ages. I moved to Florida, pursuing a job as a Performing Arts Director with the Salvation Army. There I created a music and arts program for all ages- our enrollment was 160 students! I developed a curriculum for all classes. I also designed a class for preschool children that integrated Spanish. My husband and I met in Florida and we moved to Nashville to pursue music and all Read more the possibilities in Nashville. Upon arrival, I was hired as a nanny for two children in Brentwood, ages 8 and 6. My time with them was short (4months) as they moved to Alabama for the summer to work on a project. I am now working as the music and arts director at the Salvation Army here in Nashville and due to the Coronavirus, our youth programs are on hold- for the foreseeable future. I have been graciously transferred to a different position for the time being. It is a great joy of mine to work with children so I have been looking for an opportunities to arise. Curriculum and engaging children with different activities and languages is something I very much enjoy and I would say it is a skill of mine. My husband and I recently had a baby- he’s 4 months old. Regarding the Coronavirus- my husband and I take it very serisouly and take all precautions necessary. We quarantined until we had to return to work. My husband and I both wear our masks around anyone we come in contact with. Our son is at a very responsible childcare that takes all necessary precautions as well.
