I currently am a youth coach and Director at Kidokinetics. I have been a youth coach for 2 years and counting. I work with ages 2-12 and my job consists of teaching kids colors, shapes, animal movements, sports, leadership, and emotional intelligence. Even though I am a coach, I believe to consider my job role as a babysitter as well, as teaching kids is not linear. I have to stop and walk children through their emotions when they experience pain, frustration, low motivation, anger, or sadness. I have had to learn to be creative and adaptable because children are free and imaginative. I have loved working with children because I am able to learn while teaching and it has loosened up some of the rigid ways of thinking and operating that is formed post childhood.
