Mom, energetic nana and happy to help when I can. I am first aide and CPR certified and have an excellent driving record. I have a calm and cheerful demeanor and kids just tend to respond positively to that especially babies. I specialize in newborn to one year care but have experience with all ages.

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Fawn Cordova who supported our family with care for my youngest son Drew while we were on vacation at Norris Lake in Tennessee. By way of background, my youngest son has fairly significant special needs. He is a nearly 15 year old young man who has Down Syndrome and a history of epilepsy which is supported with medication. While nearly 15, Drew functionally is more like a 1-2 year old. He is small for his age, non-verbal, and he requires full support for all daily activities from eating and navigating his environment to full support for toileting. He has a great temperament and is generally a very happy young man. When seeking care for Drew, it most definitely always requires a special person who is willing to take on and then roll with the additional challenges Drew presents. In our initial conversations after Fawn applied for this position, she did not hesitate to consider the role of caring for Drew. She asked great questions and with her obvious experience was already seeking the best ways to engage and enrich Drew. The time Fawn spent with Drew over the course of the week we were in Norris was so very much appreciated. She met him where he was each day, and she brought things she thought he would enjoy (he did!) and engaged with him to ensure he had great days while the family spent time on the lake. We were even able to get Drew out on the water with Fawn’s support which he definitely enjoyed. As Fawn indicated in our initial conversations, she views her role also as caring for the entire family which was extremely evident. She took steps to make our place even more welcoming and homey. She also went out of her way to ensure common spaces were kept tidy and ready for our return in the afternoons so that everything was just a little easier for us each day. In short, I would very highly recommend Fawn to any family seeking care for not only their child or children but also to help put their own minds at ease.

Fawn is one of the best nannies you could find in the world. She is professional, gentle and with a good heart that truly loves babies. She cared for our 6-month-old baby girl and we all loved her. Our baby enjoyed her presence and would smile with her when she's around. Fawn takes her job seriously and would dive right into work from day one. She's always punctual and works hard every day. She takes care of not only the baby, but also the whole family, by helping out with chores and also comforting the postpartum mom. When it comes to caring for our baby, she not only does the usual job (changing diapers, feeding, bathing, soothing and playing etc) fantastically, but also spends efforts to really learn about our baby's character, so that she could best suit her needs. Our baby has pretty bad eczema, and Fawn practiced with extra caution by always keeping her hands clean, not wearing perfumes and only used gentle lotions on herself. She continues to think about our baby's need even when she's off work, and would come up with great suggestions for the baby's development, such as what toys to buy, what teething tools could help to ease her teething pain, etc. Fawn is also equipped with Montessori knowledge which is so helpful in babies' early education. There are many good things about Fawn and it's hard to include all of them in one writing. In sum, I highly recommend Fawn to whoever needs a nanny. You would be having not only a great helper, but also a loving grandmother.
